Intercultural Ministries thanks WMU of Texas for all their support of the ministry of Camp Fusion, especially through the Mary Hill Davis Offering. The impact on our Texas Baptist intercultural churches is tremendous! Because you gave to the MHDO in 2017, Camp Fusion was able to reach 292 youth from 18 Texas Baptist intercultural churches from the following cultures: Vietnamese, Cambodia, Lao, Filipino, Chinese, Congolese, Nigerian and Haitian. This culturally relevant event resulted in the following decisions: 12 first-time professions of faith; 70 rededications; 118 personal commits to spiritual growth through this year; 74 felt called to help lead their youth group; 73 felt called to invite friends to Bible study; 43 felt called to Christian service; and 27 felt calls to cross-cultural missions. Please pray for each church as they follow up with their campers’ decisions and as the office of Intercultural Ministries helps with creating contextual strategies to meet the needs of each intercultural churches youth programs.
