You can make a difference by praying for the ministries that receive funding from the Mary Hill Davis Offering. Each Texas Baptist ministry that receives funding, is grouped into one of four categories:  S.A.L.T.

·       Serve Ministries – Caring for the whole person is a demonstration of the gospel and often opens the door for more effective sharing of the gospel. Some ministries in this category are the Small Church Matching Grants, BOUNCE, and Camp Exalted.
·       Advance Missions Leadership – A critical need in Texas is equipping both clergy and laity to have a missional mindset and tools to lead their congregations to reach their communities by effectively sharing the gospel and serving others. Some ministries in this category include Ethnic/Minority Scholarships, Youth + Family + NextGen Ministry Conclave, and Congregational Social Work Scholars.
·       Love the Least of These – Special need adults, victims of human trafficking, single moms, men needing life and employment skills, and people living in poverty and needing help are some of “the least of these”. These ministries seek to serve those who can be forgotten or overlooked.  Ministries in this category are Christian Women’s Job CorpsÒ and Christian Men’s Job CorpsÒ, Community Justice, and the Special Friends Retreat.
·       Tell Ministries – Lots of people do very good things to help others. But what sets followers of Jesus apart? We also share the life-changing story of God’s redemptive work in the lives of those He invites to know Him. These ministries enable Texas Baptists to be an intentional witness.  Some ministries in this category are Church Starting, BaptistWay Press, and Texas Baptist Missionaries.

Pray today for the ministries that seek to carry out the S.A.L.T. objectives.
