It is estimated that nine Southern Baptist churches per week close their doors. In addition, many others are in decline. Healthy, urban churches are needed because more of our state’s population is living in urban centers. It is projected that within the next 25 years over 78% of Texans will live in a region called the Texas Triangle with the corners being Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio. Thank God for the urban peer groups that are being used to strengthen and encourage those living in our urban centers. Ask God to use these churches to reach our cities for Christ.
